Do I need a dance background? Do I need to be fit to start?

No background or experience is needed to start your aerial journey, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

A fitness or dance background can help you progress faster as an aerialist, but it isn't necessary.

Is there a size or weight limit for pole and aerial?

Pole and aerial fitness are suitable for people of all shapes and sizes. Different sized hoops are recommended based on size and height, but otherwise there are no restrictions due to size or weight.

What should I bring to a pole fitness class?

A small gym towel, a bottle of water and any grip aids you have, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

For Sultry Flow and Floor Work classes, knee pads and socks make things more comfortable.

What do I wear to class?

Athletic wear is required. Sports bras or tank tops are ideal.

Different pole levels need different length bottoms so your skin can grip:
Pole I: short shorts (3 inch inseam) or biker shorts
Pole II: short shorts
Pole III: short shorts or bikini-style pole bottoms

For aerial hoop and aerial hammock, leggings are recommended to prevent fabric and tape burns.

Any tips for aerial fitness classes?

Do keep an open mind: aerial fitness is not like any gym workout! Do be mindful if you're sharing equipment.

Don't apply oil or lotion to your skin and palms for up to 24 hours before class, and don't wear body jewellery.

How do I make sure my spot is secure after booking?

Spots are only secure once full payment has been made, at least 24 hours before the session. Without payment it's up to the instructor's discretion to remove you so someone on the waitlist can take the spot.

What happens to my credits if I cancel a paid session?

Credits are returned for future use when you cancel at least four hours before class. Cancellations within four hours of class forfeit the credit.

What happens if I'm late?

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late you won't be able to join the session. Every class starts with a full warm-up for everyone's safety, which usually takes the first 10 minutes.

How does the waitlist work?

When a class is full, join the waitlist from the class page. If a spot opens we'll email you, and you'll have 15 minutes to book it before it goes to the next person on the list.

How do I book a private group class?

Use our Contact page and choose Private group session. Include the number of people in your group and the date and time you'd prefer.

What is the age limit for the studio?

We offer classes for ages 18 to 70. Minors are welcome with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

I'm afraid of falling off the pole or hoop. How do I get over it?

Confidence builds with every lesson! Your instructors will help you conquer the fear of falling, and we have crash mats of different sizes to cushion you if the unexpected happens.

My hands get very sweaty. How do I stick to the pole?

Various grip aids can help. Some go on your hands or body, others directly on the apparatus. Dry Hands liquid grip is available to buy in studio, and other grip aids like Mighty Grip gloves can be found on Amazon.

Are there different styles of pole dancing?

Yes! Styles include artistic, pole sport and sensual or exotic. Our pole sessions mix artistic, flowy movement with pole sport strength, and our Sultry Flow and Floor Work sessions focus on the exotic style.

Do I have to wear heels to pole dance?

Definitely not! Heels are encouraged for Sultry Flow and Floor Work sessions, and optional everywhere else.

What is Open Pole?

Open Pole is a one hour session for aerialists who want to use the studio to work on their own goals. There's no instructor: just you, your lesson plan and the equipment.

I lost my key pass. How do I replace it?

Key passes are available to Premium members for easy studio entry. If you misplace yours, tell a team member as soon as possible. Replacements cost $1,000.
